This Privacy Policy explains how NetsTool handles information when you visit the website, use an online tool, submit the contact form, subscribe to the newsletter, follow an external link, or interact with analytics and advertising technologies. NetsTool is an independent online utility project. The public contact channel for privacy questions is [email protected]. This policy describes the current website as carefully as possible; it should be updated when a tool, provider, cookie, retention practice, or legal obligation changes.
Privacy rules differ by country and may apply differently depending on who operates a service and where a visitor lives. Nothing in this page removes rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Where a data-protection law applies, NetsTool will consider the relevant legal basis, notice, consent, access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, and complaint requirements. This page is a plain-language description of data handling, not jurisdiction-specific legal advice. Organisations with special regulatory duties should obtain advice for their own circumstances before submitting confidential information to an online tool.
When a browser requests a page, the web server and application can receive technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. This can include an IP address, date and time, requested URL, referring page, browser and operating-system details, device characteristics, approximate location inferred by a provider, and error or performance information. Laravel application logs can also contain diagnostic messages and the IP address recorded during some actions. This information is used to serve pages, maintain security, investigate failures, measure performance, and prevent abuse.
NetsTool does not require an account for the public tools and does not ask visitors to create a profile to browse the catalogue. The absence of an account does not mean that a visit is anonymous: ordinary internet requests, cookies, analytics tags, advertising requests, and security logs can still create technical records. NetsTool does not intentionally ask Google AdSense to receive a name, email address, or phone number through an ad URL. Visitors should also avoid placing personal information in a tool query or URL, because anything entered into a request can be processed as part of that tool's operation.
Different tools receive different inputs. A lookup may receive a domain name, IP address, URL, or server name. A text utility may receive pasted text or HTML. Image, PDF, compression, resizing, and translation tools may receive an uploaded file. The input is used to produce the requested result, validate the request, prevent abuse, or diagnose a failure. Some operations can run in the browser, while others use temporary server-side processing, an external lookup provider, or a generated download file. The relevant tool page is the best source for the current input and output behavior.
The contact form currently accepts a name, email address, optional phone number, optional subject, and message, and stores that information in the application's contact records so the request can be reviewed and answered. The newsletter form stores an email address and a country value. When someone subscribes, the application may send the request IP address to freeipapi.com to estimate the country; the returned country is stored with the subscription. Do not submit another person's information without permission, and do not use these forms for passwords, payment details, private keys, medical records, legal files, or confidential client material.
File tools may create temporary working files and download outputs. The current implementation can store processed images, archives, PDFs, or translated files on the server so that a download link works. Translator working directories are cleaned by the application after an age check, while processed image and PDF outputs may remain until routine cleanup or manual administration; NetsTool does not promise a universal fixed deletion time for every file tool. A generated download URL is not a reason to upload a sensitive document. Remove private metadata before uploading when that matters to your task.
NetsTool does not sell the contents of tool inputs. That statement does not mean that an input is never visible to a hosting provider, a processing library, an external lookup service, or a system administrator who must maintain the service. For example, IP-location and domain-IP functions can query providers such as ip-api.com, ipinfo.io, or proxycheck.io, and the HTML Translator uses Google Translate service functionality. Those providers have their own terms and privacy notices. Review the output before sharing it, and use a local or offline tool when your organisation requires that a file never leave its controlled environment.
NetsTool may use first-party cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies for essential session behavior, preferences, security, caching, analytics, and advertising. The current site includes Google Analytics measurement code and Microsoft Clarity, and may load Google AdSense advertising code. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to NetsTool or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to measure ad delivery, limit repeated impressions, prevent fraud, and personalise advertising where the visitor has allowed it. These services can receive technical and usage signals such as page views, device or browser information, approximate location, interaction events, ad impressions, or cookie identifiers. Google explains that publishers must clearly disclose advertising cookies and provide a way for users to manage personalised advertising choices.
The site also loads Google-hosted fonts and can display a Google Maps embed on an IP-location result. External requests may expose the request's IP address and browser details to the provider in the normal way. If a tool sends a request to a lookup or translation service, that provider processes the request under its own policy. You can manage cookies through browser controls and, where available, a consent or privacy setting for the region you are in. Personalised advertising choices can be reviewed at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Blocking optional technologies can affect some features but should not prevent access to unrelated pages.
Information may be used to deliver and improve the website, answer support requests, send a requested newsletter, understand which tools are useful, measure performance, detect spam or abuse, protect the service, maintain backups and logs, comply with legal duties, and show or measure advertising where configured. NetsTool does not sell personal information. Information can be shared with hosting, storage, security, analytics, advertising, email, geolocation, translation, or other service providers when that sharing is needed for the described function, as well as with authorities when disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.
Retention depends on the type of information and the reason it is needed. Contact and newsletter records may be kept while a support, subscription, security, accounting, or legal purpose remains. Logs and analytics may be retained according to the configuration of NetsTool and the relevant provider. Temporary tool files and generated downloads may be removed by tool-specific cleanup or server administration, but no single deletion period applies to every tool today. When information is no longer needed, it may be deleted, anonymised, aggregated, or retained only where a legal or security reason requires it.
Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, withdraw consent for optional cookies or marketing, or receive a portable copy of information you provided. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA as amended, subject to its scope and exceptions. To make a request, email [email protected] with the request type and the email address or details needed to locate the record. NetsTool may ask for reasonable verification and may retain information needed to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, comply with law, or protect security.
HTTPS helps protect information while it travels between your browser and the site, and reasonable access controls and application safeguards are used to protect stored records. No internet service, form, email channel, third-party provider, or temporary file system can guarantee absolute security. If you believe information has been exposed or a privacy control is not working, contact NetsTool promptly with safe details. This policy may be revised when the product or law changes; the effective date at the top identifies the current version, and continued use after an update means you have had an opportunity to read the revised notice.
